Reflection 2 (:

THE JOURNEY TO THE WEST

During the Weekends, we wanted to go somewhere different from what we usually do as the next day is Hari Raya Celebration and none of my family members are required to go to work or school. We travelled from Bugis all the way to Marina at Keppel Bay.

Bugis

We first went to bras brash to get something to eat. We had some vouchers for Jack's place and we get to eat something special. I had a King snapper fillet with butter cream sauce. It was something different from what i would usually order but it was nice. The soup was the Cream of Potato which is one of my favourite staple food. Then for dessert, we had a small tiny piece of cream cheese cake with a ripple of strawberry jam on it creamy top. i always liked chocolate based cake hence my favouritism to it. I also noticed that the ripple of strawberry on the top of the cream is all identical to each other which make me think that it requires a lot of effort to do duplicates of the exact same stripe on it white background. It also reminds me of the drawing modules i had learnt so far in the first week, lines and dots, proportion and space. The workers must have loved their job so much to make every item on the plates served as identical as possible to refrain any trouble which may arise from this.

Marina At Keppel Bay

After we ate, we went to Marina at keppel bay as we had seen keppel bay on the television and it seemed very luxurious. I really want to see it for myself if there is such place where people have boating license like in spongebob squarepants and they had boats to travel around in the seas , away from the busy singapore life. When we reached there, it was really quiet and serene, there weren't much people sows went to have high tea at the TCC on the second floor. I had the Summer Citrus while my family had Calming spirit tea and Peppermint Tea. With the serenity and silence with the coolness of the air-conditioned place where we relaxed, enjoying the ballads playing in the background of the cafe, i actually thought that my stress and worries went away and i have escaped into my own new wonderland, like alice in wonderland. When i look out from the cafe, there were many boats docked at the pier. One of the reasons why we came to Keppel bay out of the blues is because we heard about the waters around the bay is so clean and fresh, corals grew beneath the base of the pier and marine life lived with and around the living corals. There was an entire eco-system for marine animals beneath the busy and all man-made singapore.

i love this photo cause of the sun rays which hit perfectly and timely when i took the photo.

Also, in the process, i thought about what people do just to get this serenity. The place is not even near any public transport , so unless u have a car to drive in, u have to walk beside condos just to get to the pier itself. It amazes me that people work so hard to earn money just to get the peace and sense of freedom just for a while before being pulled back into the harsh working world where they cannot breathe.
I absolutely love the colour gradient of the summer citrus drink, from the deepest shade of orange to the light yellowish orangey look. I also love the the teas colour are both the same and easily mistaken for another but the smell is different. There were also some flowers growing near the cafe and i loved it so much. it was like it was hanging down from the sky leisurely and had no care in the world... i always want to be a flower cause when they bloom, they receive compliments from people who they have just met. And also a flower is beautiful due to its natural gradient of colours which suit each other perfectly. The branches around the flowers were like hands carrying it fruit before letting them go . I also loved the water as they hit against the pier, i like the colour and movement of the water.

We had a selfie moment at the pier. i loved each and every moment, cherishing every moment i have with my family. It so happens that we had a blue day, from the lightest shade of blue to the darkest shade of blue. 5 shades of blue (;

Then we went to Upper Pierce Reservoir for a drive. On the way to the place, we saw some monkeys lazing around in the trees and in the grass. This particular family caught my eyes as there was a baby monkey clinging onto the its mother. It is absolutely adorable as i have never seen this before, this shows even animals take care of their families and keep them safe away from harm.

This makes the end of my week 2 journey and I'm looking forward for what may come next week . Hopefully i get to see something new and artistic (:
